Initial Contact

The manager over at Swallowdrum Antiques first called us here at Fife Website Design back in December 2020. They were looking for a brand new website for their, you’e guessed it, antiques business.

At first I wasn’t sure how many items they had in their inventory or how many they wanted to showcase on their shiny new website.

It turns out they have thousands of items, as you can imagine, but they only wanted to have a few hundred on the website initially.

Design Brief

Swallowdrum were a delight to work with as they just wanted to keep things simple. They requested a nice, elegant, clean website that is easy to navigate. Which is always the best for the end user!

They also required a new logo for the business, which was designed in-house.

Furthermore, they required the ability to add and remove their own items as they pleased, which was no problem at all. Well, they still had to take photographs and write descriptions for each item – which they managed very well considering it was their first time doing this.

There is now about 1244 items on their website for sale.
